Goldene Rundfahrt – Pilatus
A panoramic round trip by boat, cogwheel railway and cable car.
The "Golden Round Trip" brings together everything that makes Lucerne so special. It starts, for example, right at the Lucerne boat piers with a cruise across Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad. From there, the world's steepest cogwheel railway takes you up to Pilatus Kulm. At 2,132 metres, a sweeping 360° panoramic view over lakes, mountains and central Switzerland awaits.
You travel back to Lucerne by aerial cableway, panoramic gondola and bus. The route can also be done in reverse and works well as a day trip. Whether it's a summit moment, a walk, a bite to eat at one of the mountain restaurants, or a family break along the way, the Golden Round Trip shows you Pilatus at its finest and turns even the journey into an experience.
Tickets & Booking
The ticket is booked directly online. The Golden Round Trip includes travel by boat, cogwheel railway, aerial cableway, panoramic gondola and bus between Kriens and Lucerne. To avoid waiting times, a seat reservation is recommended for the cogwheel railway. Please check the current timetable and open facilities before travelling.
